Gregory Sergeant - Director
Gregory Sergeant began learning his craft at Vidal Sassoon’s premiere London academy.  After graduating and working for a few years in England he moved to Atlanta.  While in Atlanta he worked at Van Michael Salon as an educator and a member of the artistic team. After a few years in Atlanta Gregory decided to move to New York City.   “I wanted to keep learning,” he says of that time.  Once there he spent 2 years in apprenticeships at top salons in New York City (including another stint at Sassoon’s New York City Salon and at Bumble & Bumble).   In fact, that love of learning led to new opportunities including freelance work on fashion and advertising shoots.  “Doing fashion shoots is great training,” he said.  “Pictures don’t lie.”   After 5 years in New York City Gregory and his wife, Paige, decided that it was time for a change.  After a brief stop back in Atlanta they landed in Asheville.  Gregory wanted to pass his love of learning on to future stylists so he and Paige opened West One Salon.  In addition to working on his many clients Gregory continues to train each stylist extensively with hands on classes.
